What’s new with the Subaru EV near Santa Fe NM?

The all-electric 2024 Subaru Solterra has some new features that should appeal to New Mexico car buyers. Besides starting with Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system as standard equipment, the Solterra is built for the kind of four season conditions that New Mexican drivers regularly face. The two-row Solterra also has 8.3” of ground clearance and dirt/snow and deep snow/mud modes to get through the most challenging conditions. But increasing the ability of the 96-cell, 72.8 kWh lithium ion battery to take a rapid charge may be most comforting to new EV owners. For 2024, Subaru has equipped it with an AC and DC fast charging port on the left front fender. This means the Solterra can charge up to 80% in about an hour using the DC fast charger. At full charge, it has a range of 228 miles (premium model) or 222 miles on the limited or touring models. When on the open road, the 2024 Solterra also has a full feature entertainment system with apps that can identify charging stations with level 1 or level 2 fast chargers to help alleviate range anxiety.

Enhancements of the Subaru EV near Santa Fe NM

The Solterra also significantly differs from other EVs with its bold styling, utility and safety features. Subaru stylists started with a two box design to maximize passenger and cargo space, but added their own unique touches. Consider the standard multi-element LED headlight modules up front that throw a broad path of light to guide you through the darkest of nights. The Solterra uses angled daytime running lights (DRLs) incorporated into those modules and a smoothed over grille area to let the world know an advanced EV is headed their way. Flat black blistered front flares lead back to side creases in the sheet metal for contrast. The rear aerodynamically-shaped hatch has a low lift in, while the wrap-around taillights are positioned high enough for maximum safety. Inside, the Solterra uses minimalist styling to maximum effect, as the 12.3” color screen offers rear views when backing, 360-degree views on some models and easy access to entertainment and navigation options.

For 2024, the Subaru EV near Santa Fe NM of the Solterra steering wheel has been redesigned to allow use of regenerative braking paddles to increase driver involvement. Safety is covered by Subaru’s EyeSight safety features, including accident avoidance, lane keeping, dynamic radar control when using cruise and blind spot and rear pedestrian warning when backing. There’s even a side warning when approaching vehicles might come too close to a door opening when parked. The interior packs 125 cubic feet of space for five passengers and all their cargo, with 29 cubic feet behind the rear seats alone. The e-Subaru global platform offers maximum floor space throughout, with the battery pack under the rear seat and cargo areas.

Beyond all this, the 2024 Subaru Solterra offers 215 HP and 249 lb/ft of torque to get you through all your adventures through and around Santa Fe. Computers control two separate motors front and rear to drive the AWD package. The Solterra Premium starts at $44,995 MSRP, while the Limited moves up to $48,495 with bigger wheels and more power features. At the top-of-the-line is the Solterra Touring at $51,995 with black hood accents, panoramic moonroof with power shade, vented seats and two tone paint options. It’s worth noting that none of these trim levels prices have increased over 2023 pricing.
