Meet the 2025 Subaru Outback SUV in Albuquerque, NM

Drivers looking for a comfortable and casual family vehicle that can tackle moderately challenging terrain should direct their attention to the 2025 Subaru Outback SUV in Albuquerque, NM. Not fitting one particular vehicle segment, the Outback boasts SUV, crossover, and station wagon characteristics, in one friendly package. With car-like handling, plenty of cargo space, and Subaru’s legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the mellow Outback seats up to five passengers.

New for the 2025 Model Year

Usually, this would be the year for a redesign, but lingering effects from the pandemic and supply chain issues have caused Subaru of America to add a year to the regular schedule. We anticipate the 2026 model to undergo significant changes, but for 2025, only a handful of updates are in store.

The Limited trim is enhanced with several sought-after features, including a heated steering wheel, Subaru’s STARLINK® Multimedia System with Navigation, an 11.6-inch touchscreen, Subaru’s DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System, and a power moonroof. The XT package, an option offering a more robust turbocharged 2.4-liter BOXER engine, will also be available for the Limited trim.

Power and Performance

The Outback Wilderness and all XT trims feature the more powerful turbo option mentioned above, delivering 260 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. Every 2025 Subaru Outback has a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission, with an 8-speed manual shift mode and steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

Technology

All models come standard with Subaru’s highly praised EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes a rear-vision camera with adaptive guidelines, LED steering responsive headlights with high beam assist, advanced adaptive cruise control with lane centering, and more. X-MODE® with Hill Descent Control is another amenity that helps manage wheel spin and direct traction to where it’s needed most. It also takes over to handle tricky downhill descents.

The STARLINK system incorporates X-MODE, climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, HD radio, AM/FM radio, and Bluetooth connectivity.

A Smart Choice

With its well-rounded package of capable features, owning an Outback pays off now and in years to come, thanks to its durable and dependable Subaru engineering. Every Outback is built to last no matter where your adventures take you. As you may have heard, 97% of Subaru Outbacks sold in the past 10 years are still on the road today.

It’s even easier on your bank account than its rivals. According to IntelliChoice (a MotorTrend partner), the Subaru Outback is rated number one in Lowest Fuel Cost and Lowest Ownership Cost – lower than the Toyota RAV4, Toyota 4-Runner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Bronco Sport, and Honda CR-V.
