Power and Performance
A 182 horsepower, 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder BOXER engine provides the power for all non-XT variants of the Outback, while the Wilderness and XT models get the more robust turbocharged engine. Choose one of those, and you’ll enjoy 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque! All Outback models are equipped with a Lineartronic CVT (continuously variable transmission), steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and an 8-speed manual shift mode.

Although the Base model is modest in terms of features, all others include heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, and several lighted USB ports throughout the cabin. Moving up the trim ladder brings more luxury items such as heated rear seats, leather upholstery, heated steering wheel, and more.
In the very back, 33 cubic feet will fit plenty of luggage or camping gear, but when you need more, fold the rear seats flat for nearly 76 cubes!
